British comedy wunderkind Ricky Gervais, interviewed by The Washington Post's Ann Hornaday, had this remarkably insightful exchange:
Gervais: "I remember .... I used to ride ... a bike with no brakes, and I always planned that if I ever had to stop right in front of a bus I'd [fall] to the pavement. I planned it. And it happened, and I did. And it really hurt. I went flying."
Hornaday: "But it worked. You survived."
Gervais: "That's the good thing about integrity. You can plan it."
