This week, I'm answering a really big challenge sent in from another BIG IDEA reader...
"[I need help] creating a personal vision, mission, and purpose."
First, let's identify what we're talking about when we talk about "vision, mission, and purpose".
Vision, mission, and purpose are 3 ways of placing oneself in the world and defining how we choose to look at and interact with the world.
....Yeah, that's what I said at first.
Vision, mission, and purpose can be big ideas to grasp, but once you do, you’ll really have some perspective on your life.
Defining these three things is a great way to pull yourself out of very unproductive, unfocused, ho-hum, just-getting-by thinking and activity that many people fall into when they don't have a sense of what their "big picture" of the world really is.
Figuring out your vision, mission and purpose will tell you...
....What you want for the world. (This is your VISION.)
....Why you are here. (This is your PURPOSE.)
....How you will create that vision in your world. (This is your MISSION.)
